PaveLocal is new. We are not going to pretend otherwise on a page whose whole job is to tell you whether we can be trusted.
What we can tell you is how we work and why. Driveway installation is an unregulated trade where the quality of a job is decided almost entirely by layers nobody can see once it is finished. That makes it very easy to sell badly and very hard for a homeowner to compare quotes fairly, because three prices for the same driveway are usually three different builds.
So every quote we issue itemises the excavation depth, the sub-base material and thickness, the edge restraint, the drainage solution and the surface product. Not because it is a marketing angle, but because it is the only way you can hold our price against somebody else's and see what the difference actually buys.
No review counts, no jobs-completed figures, no years in business, no satisfaction percentages and no accreditation badges. We have not earned any of them yet, and several of the schemes homeowners recognise are paid memberships rather than competence assessments.
When there are real reviews, they will appear with a name, a town and a link you can check. Until then the review sections on this site stay visibly empty.
How we work
- Survey before pricing
Nobody prices a driveway properly from a satellite photo. Ground conditions, access, levels and where the water currently goes all change the build, and all of them need looking at.
- Itemised quotes
Separate lines for excavation and disposal, membrane, sub-base, edging, drainage and surface. If a line is missing from someone else's quote, that is where the price difference lives.
- Local installers
Crews working their own area rather than a national call centre subcontracting to whoever is free. The work on a driveway is done by whoever is physically laying it, so that is the thing worth knowing.
- Honest about repairs
If a repair or a lift-and-relay is the better use of your money than a replacement, we say so. If your new-build drive is still under a developer warranty, we will tell you to go to them first, which costs us the job.
- Compliant drainage
Built to meet the 2008 permeable-surfacing rules rather than around them. A drive that discharges onto the public footway is a planning breach and an icing hazard, and it is entirely avoidable.
