Reviews
Reviews.
We have not collected any yet, so there are none on this page. That is the whole story and we are not going to dress it up.
PaveLocal is new. A brand-new company with a page of glowing testimonials is telling you something, and it is not what it thinks it is telling you.
Fabricated reviews are also a legal problem, not just a taste one. Writing or commissioning fake consumer reviews is banned outright under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, and the Competition and Markets Authority can act on it directly.
So this page stays empty until there is something real to put on it. When there is, each review will carry a first name, a town and a link to the platform it was left on, so you can go and check it rather than take our word for it.
Verified reviews from completed jobs, with the town and the surface, linked to the platform they were posted on. No aggregated star rating until there are enough reviews for one to mean anything.
In the meantime, the useful thing to ask any driveway installer — us included — is for two addresses of work done more than three years ago that you can drive past. Recent work always looks good. Work that has been through three winters is the real test.
How to judge a driveway installer without reviews
Reviews are one signal and not the strongest one. These are more reliable, and they work on any installer you are considering.
- Ask for the specification
Excavation depth, sub-base material and thickness, edge restraint, drainage. A firm that builds properly answers immediately because they are proud of the answer.
- Check the insurance
Ask to see the public liability certificate and check the date on it. A driveway job involves plant, a public footway and your drains.
- Look at old work
Two jobs over three years old, addresses you can drive past. This is the single most informative check available to you.
- Read the contract
Fixed price, what is excluded, payment schedule tied to stages, and a written cancellation right. More on that on the driveway company page.

Judge the quote rather than the marketing. Ours will be itemised, and you are welcome to hold it against anyone else's.
- Itemised, in writingExcavation, sub-base depth, edging, drainage and surface priced as separate lines, so you can compare quotes properly.
- Surveyed before it is pricedGround conditions decide the cost of a driveway. Anyone quoting a firm price off a photo is guessing.
- No obligationA quote is a quote. If you use someone else, that is fine — we will not chase you about it.
